Duran Duran and Wayne Neutron play at the opening of the Hard Rock
Hotel in Las Vegas. Wayne Neutron was a band including Duff McKagan,
Matt Sorum and Teddy Andreadis. The set included songs like Manic Depression, Hey Joe (both with Seal on vocals), Rebel Yell, Shakin' All Over (both with Billy Idol), Black Leather (Steve Jones), Raw Power
(Iggy Pop & Steve Jones). Izzy Stradlin, Gilby Clarke, BB King, Bo
Diddley also performed songs with the band. Izzy: "I returned to Los
Angeles after Duff's phone call: "Hey man, you come back, we'll play
for the opening of a new casino in Las Vegas. It's me who's handling
the roster. There'll be Iggy Pop, Bo Diddley, B.B. King, etc." I
answered him "Whoaa! When do you want me to find you over there? If I
can play with Bo or B.B., I'll come." He called me back the next day:
"Izzy, you're going to accompany Bo and B.B. at the same time." How
could I have refused that offer? I so went there and I took my place". Photos. Article
04.27.1995 - Chicago, IL, The Metro audio/video recording: audio, video [incomplete] set: Bitch [encore] info: Izzy joins Slash's Snakepit for this classic Stones song which finished Slash's band show. Two years earlier Izzy and his Ju Ju Hounds
played their show at the same club. Slash tells the crowd that Izzy
came to the show just from Indiana. Stradlin went on stage and the
roadie gave him his white guitar - Gibson ES-355 with walnut finish.
Izzy shared lead vocals with Snakepit's axeman Gilby Clarke - like
everybody knows he was Stradlin's replacement in Guns N' Roses. Slash:
